We’ll were here to make sure you know how search engines like Google, Bing & Yahoo Search operate. When you get the gist of how SEO and search engines work, you’ll understand how and why certain business websites, blogs, and all kinds of articles online get so much traffic online.

The first thing about SEO

Google ranks a site based on what they scan through whenever they crawl (visit) a website. So for example, if Google crawls a website with the keyword “Creative Digital Marketing in Toronto” in specific parts of the site, Google will essentially try to put that site on top of the search engine for that specific keyword.

This is to ensure relevancy to those who are searching for help or information on this particular topic, as Google only wants to help people find what they really need.

In addition, you will have to make sure your website is optimized for the major search engines. This is called on-page optimization. For example, your web page title, description, and keywords should include your main keywords/key phrases you’re targeting. You need to make sure

Of course, even if your site has all of the proper keywords you may have competitors with a better setup. One way to take leeway over your competitors is building backlinks for your business website. This is called off-page optimization.

You need to have other websites linking back to your site. Google prefers high quality, authority level websites that are popular online.
How do you get your site to have a high authority level in Google’s eye? By having other high authority level sites linking back to yours.

This can be done by sharing your link on social media, leaving your URL on other blog networks when answering relevant questions, writing articles online and putting your URL at the bottom, along with many other kinds of ways.
